Borderline experience
I grew up in Dresden. At the age of 17 in the year 1982, I emigrated to the west, together with my family and for the first time, I excperienced that miracles are in fact possible. A border, which had seemed insurmountable, had just vanished into thin air. A whole world had opened up to me, and I was suddenly allowed to say, what I wanted to. How liberating! After my final secondary-school examinations, I couldn't hold to go to Paris for one year, which was the city of my dreams, those days.
Out of the head into the body through dance
At the age of 23, after having passed a few semesters of humanities in Berlin, I sensed a growing dissatisfaction in my life. These studies appeared ivory-tower, mind-bound, and absurd to me. I banished all the books and academic scriptures off my house and dedicated myself to the art of dancing instead. Part of my dancing education at the "Etage" in Berlin was a daily training in modern dance, ballet as well as classes in many other artistic ways of expression. This was a highly challenging time for me, I head to go over my mental and bodily boundaries over and over again. Feeling at home inside my body, listening to it and letting myself be guided by it, from now on was the goal and the origin of everything I did. After my dancing education, I started to give classes in movement and built up my existence on being a teacher of dance, fitness and health. (e.g. Berlin's adult education centres)
From the body to the feeling through acting
Besides that, I got increasingly interested into acting. Expressing myself on a stage, vividly and with my full power seamed like the essence of life to me. I came across the troupe of actors led by Marjam Azemoun, working with Lee Strasberg's authentity based Method Acting. From now on, the focus of my work was on expressing my true emotions in which I discovered a whole new universe. I concoured stage within several projects, performed improvisational theatre, realized story-telling-neights and got feaured parts in movies and television series. Although I never managed to take the step into becoming a profesional, still I do lead the "Erzähltheater Berlin", write fairytale adaptations and perform them.
From acting to breathing and meditation
A break-up with a former love introduced a severe upheaval in 2002, forcing me to redirect my life. I took part in an intensive self-awareness training given by Rosemarie and Ulrich Lipp, where I underwent the whole line-up of their impressive therapeutic work: Holotropic Breathwork, Bioenergetics, Primal Therapy, Encounter, Family Constellations, Enlightment, Rebirthing, shadow group and dying work. At the same time I got busy with a diversity of tantric methods and experienced the healing power of active meditations.
From learning to teaching
I completed my breath therapy education in 2007. The following year I graduated my non-medical practitioner (psych) and established my breath-therapeutic practice. Since then, although of course I never stopped regularly attending several trainings and seminars, my emphasis is on passing on my knowledge and experiences within a variety of settings. No matter whether I am being a coach, a therapist ora trainer, my concern is always to create intensive eperience-spaces for and with other people.
