I developed the Person-Centered Breath Therapy throughout the past decade. It is a transmethodical, process-oriented, and holistic breath therapy concept.

Of the same tenor as Carl Rogers, I am creating a non-directive space of self-healing, where I am the companion of a process, in which the client follows the flow of his breath, surrounded by safety and shelter. This is not about controlling breath, e.g. slowing or accelerating it. It is about setting it free and unfold all its vitality. I use a large variety of methods to support the client in accomplishing the healing movement, which the soul wants to perform deep inside, triggered by the breathing process. Sometimes, this movement expresses itself through emotions like anger or dolorousness, sometimes needs to be said which was long time unspoken, sometimes the body to carry out a certain movement, sometimes buried childhood memories suddenly rises up, sometimes the client just experiences rest, peace and silence. Given, that all our memories and emotions are being stored in each cell of our body, breath is able to bring to light what ever needs to be seen, realised, felt and expressed.

Also psychotherapeutic talk is part of a breath therapy.

My work is inspired by Holotropic Breathwork, by the actors training developed by Lee Strasberg, by Rebirthing, by breathwork using the netural impuls of breath, by Alexander Lowen's Bioenergetics, by breathing techniques adopted from Yoga, tantric breath and movement meditations, by working with Subpersonalities und systemic therapy approaches.

The Person-Centered Breath Therapy can treat anxiety disorders, psychosomatic disorders, depressions, burnout, but it can also be used to work on traumas, relationship issues, general life crises or unspecific disorders.
